Contact-person service needs a licence; Companify OÜ invoices without one visible
In Estonia the contact-person and company-formation service requires an activity licence issued by the Financial Intelligence Unit. That licence (FIU000395) appears only under JusTrust OÜ. In the reported cases, however, the contact-person service was invoiced by Companify OÜ (17034960), founded in 2024 with € 1 in capital and the activity code “business consulting”; its own report is also unfiled despite the 30 June 2026 deadline. In the FIU list (accessed 12 Sep 2026) no licence appears under Companify; the current status can be verified in the register of economic activities (mtr.ttja.ee). Which company is registered as the contact person in the register is a separate question; the invoicing entity and the registered contact person need not be the same. (Opinion: a licensed service invoiced by a company with no visible licence raises the question of how much assurance the “licensed provider” pitch really gives the customer.)

How to verify it yourself
- Search the invoicing company’s registry code for an activity licence in the MTR register (mtr.ttja.ee).
- Compare whether the licence holder and the company on the invoice are the same.
- Keep the result as a dated screenshot.
Questions to ask the provider
- Which company holds the FIU licence for the contact-person service, and what is its number?
- Why does a company without the licence issue the invoice?
- Is the licence holder the contracting party?
What to do about this type of complaint
Verify the licence number yourself in the MTR register and check whether the licence holder is the company invoicing you; check on the registry card whether the activity code matches the service sold.
