Complaint
The renewal calendar sits with the customer, not the company: rushed as the deadline nears
In the reported cases deadline-bound registry and service renewals are not planned ahead; the reminder and the quote arrive close to the deadline, sometimes after it. The customer has to track the dates themselves; the company’s own delay becomes the customer’s problem. A renewal that arrives in a rush leaves no time to question the price either. (Opinion: managing renewals is the essence of a contact-person service; a provider that leaves it to the customer is not delivering the service itself.)
This card describes a complaint type rather than one incident; details may vary from report to report.

How to recognise this situation
- No reminder comes before the renewal date, or it comes very late.
- Only a short time is given to decide.
- What happens without renewal is not in writing.
Questions to ask the provider
- How many days before the renewal date do you send a written reminder?
- If I do not renew, when do the contact-person and address entries end?
- Where are the renewal terms written?
What to do about this type of complaint
Before paying in advance, ask for scope, term, refund and termination terms in one written document; invoices and e-mails are not a contract. Know that you can change the contact person and legal address in the register yourself when needed; get the exit plan in writing at the start.
