Complaint
No breakdown on the invoice: period, scope and calculation unexplained
In the reported cases invoices consist of a single line; they do not say which period is covered, what work was done or how the amount was calculated. When an itemised breakdown is requested, it is not given, or a general explanation comes much later. Because the invoicing company changes from period to period, invoices without breakdowns cannot be put side by side and compared. (Opinion: an invoice without a breakdown means the customer does not know what they are paying for; in an accounting service that is unacceptable.)
This card describes a complaint type rather than one incident; details may vary from report to report.

How to recognise this situation
- The invoice only shows a total; the period and items are missing.
- It is unclear which service belongs to which period.
- When you ask for a breakdown, the reply is delayed.
Questions to ask the provider
- Can you issue the invoice itemised by period and service?
- Which work does this amount consist of?
- Does any item cover the same period as a previous invoice?
What to do about this type of complaint
Judge the price against a published price list and a written scope, not against a quote alone; have the renewal rule written into the contract and compare with the listed prices of providers on the e-Residency Marketplace. Pay by card where possible so that a dispute route stays open if the service is not delivered.
